A Little Bit Of Everything And A Whole Lot Of Nothing!

Well it's been ages since I blogged, to be honest I just couldn't be bothered. I always seem to be too tired, too cold or being nagged at by kids to have had the time lately. Tonight I am tired AND cold, but decided to make a little effort anyway.
In no particular order, here's what's been going on in a nutshell
  • Joe's room is finally almost ready for him to move into, we are hoping this weekend will be the big event. It's been painted a gorgeous shade of green which I think should last him a few years. I just have to do two coats on the door and G has some touch-ups and one more coat on the window frame to do.
  • The twins have finally started toilet training and Scarlett is doing amazingly. I was literally talking to a friend of mine last Monday and saying how frustrated I was getting that we were still in nappies despite me trying to stay fine with it all and just letting them pick their moment to go with it. Later that morning Joe sat on the toilet and off he went, he is averaging about 4 trips a day to the toilet and is wearing pull-ups during the day and a nappy at night. Scarlett who was a lot more reluctant to start is now sitting on the potty about 8-10 times a day. She kept her undies dry for 4.5 hours on Friday but I didn't trust her to make it to school and back to pick up Abbey without wetting herself so we compromised with a pull-up. I am hoping she will be in undies most of the day tomorrow. I am so proud of them both, and so relieved it is finally happening!
  • Today we went looking at a new car, we have our eye on a Ford Territory TX RWD...fingers crossed!!
  • Abbey was nominated out of 3 students in her class to participate in the Australasian Schools English Competition which she did last week, no idea how she went but I was so proud that she got the opportunity to do something like that.
  • Been scrapping a little and will post some layouts in the next few days
  • Bought a slow cooker a few weeks back and finally got around to using it last night. I made a basic beef casserole..and it worked!! I am not renowned for my cooking abilities but Abbey, G and I loved it and neither of the twins complained about it even if they didn't eat it all ( I think they were stuffed full of junk food from being at my mum's all day) It was so yummy and I can't wait to cook something else in it.

Last of all I wanted to send a huge congratulations to a dear scrapping buddy and fellow twin mummy on the birth of a beautiful baby boy at 2am this morning. I can't wait to see pictures!

I think that's about it for now, will try to be a better blogger from now on :)
