The Update

Well the update from my last post is that just 4 days later, my girl was put to sleep. She went downhill fairly quickly once more and she was just never going to recover. Despite the double dosing of medication her spleen was still getting bigger and the vet was quite confident that the bone marrow cancer had spread to her spleen.
There was nothing more we could do, and I said goodbye and stayed with her until the end. I've actually had her cremated and now have her ashes which I plan to put in the garden and plant a shrub on top of. I miss her so much.

In other news G has been jet-setting recently and was away for 16 days to UK, Germany and China so I have been keeping pretty busy keeping everything here at home ticking along, racing in the Amazing Digiscrapping Race and keeping Abs on track at school.
She's been doing brilliantly lately, she got an A+ for her piano lessons from last semester, her Junior band just won a Bronze trophy in a competition and she achieved a Credit in an English competition that her teacher nominated her and two of her classmates to participate in.

Biggest news around here is that Scarlett is actually now toilet trained! Yay!! Night AND day, she has been in knickers during the day for several weeks now and has for the last 3 nights worn knickers to bed without any accidents so far.

Nothing much else happening here..other than picking up our new car at the end of the week..woohoo!

My Moggie

Well she's still fighting to stay with us and doing a very good job at this moment but I am not sure how much longer that will work. My cat has a bone marrow problem, mostly likely cancerous so every day with her now is a blessing.

On Wednesday night when I took her to the vet she was in a bad way, not really reacting to anything around her, not eating for several days and barely able to walk. The vet said if she didn't pick up by Friday it was time to think about having her put to sleep. For now her medication is doubled and it's working brilliantly, her appetite is back in a big way, she is alert again, her walking is almost back to normal, she is purring and constantly looking for attention. For now she is happy, comfortable and with me. Here's a couple of pics from this morning.

Okay well the reason for the lack of blogging is pretty much that nothing of major interest is happening here. I am completely snowed under with scrapping at the moment..the word over committed springs to mind but I'll get there.
The Amazing Digiscrapping Race is under way which was so much fun last season I had to rejoin but I do wish I had thought it through a little more as time-wise it's a bit crazy. Two layouts a week doesn't sound much but when you have to scrap to a theme, colour, sketch or whatever it can be quite difficult. Oh well, two weeks down and 4 more to go!
Abs birthday is on the way next month so having been thinking about that a lot, and have mostly got things organized there...I just need to make her party invitations which I will try to get done today.
My cat is also very sick, I can't bear the thought of her not being here anymore as I have had her since she was 5 weeks old. My tiny little fluffball has grown somewhat and is now a very mature 16.5 years old. I think her little body is giving up on her though. We have been through so much together and I adore her. I really don't want to face what's coming and am just hoping that her current medication will kick in and she will bounce back again.
