Mish-Mash

I haven't blogged for a while. Not much to say but thought I should at least make an effort so just a nutshell-style post from me today.

  1. I have a cold, and I feel a bit crap today. I didn't have much voice at the start of the week but it has since mostly returned but the last two days the cold seems to have moved into my head a bit more. I think this could be G's cold that he bought back from China on one of his recent work trips and he still hasn't shaken it yet either some 2 weeks later.
  2. Abbey's birthday was in early Sept, while G was on the aforementioned trip to China. She turned 9 and wow, what a year this is going to be if her current attitude is anything to go by. This week she is at least trying to behave though, you can see her trying..prior to this week though her behaviour has been incredibly poor despite all the treats and extra attention she had been getting surrounding going to her friends birthday parties and her own birthday celebrations. She went to her first sleep over and did really well at that too and didn't go to sleep until around 2am!
  3. Twins had their Kindy Orientation as they start pre-entry next term. Exciting and scary all at once (for me not them!) They are growing fast and the house will definitely be a quieter place without them here. At least it's only one morning a week to start with until they go full time next year. They loved the Kindy, enjoyed meeting the teachers there etc so I have no doubt they will settle in fast.
  4. G and I celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary last week. The kids went to Mum's for the day and we wandered about doing fun stuff like bowling ( I am sooooo bad at bowling but just love doing it anyway), a trip to IKEA, a trip to Glenelg for a walk along the foreshore but it started raining and getting blustery while we were there so we sat and had a drink at Starbucks and then walked up the main street of Glenelg. We headed into North Adelaide for a meal at our favorite Indian restaurant and then headed home picking up the kids along the way!
